This exclusive showcase, bought to you by Datzentertainment, will see the 5 princes bringing the house down at Dragonfly @ St James Powerstation and it will be a great opportunity for fans in Singapore or if you are flying in from somewhere else to get a close view of your idols. This showcase was made possible thanks to a special request by Primadonnas (F.T. Island fanclub name) in Singapore and response to the event has been encouraging. SHINee has just recently released their new mini-album 'ROMEO' on the 25th with the new concept of 'Romeo & Juliet' in mind. The title song 'Juliette' also contains a special meaning: SHINee is Romeo and their fans are Juliet. Therefore, this new album is a gift from Romeo to his most beloved Juliet.


The album's songs are mapped out as a story that is similar to 'Romeo & Juliet'. SHINee explains, "If you look at the tracklist, you will realize that the whole album actually tells a story. Starting from the first song, the content of each song resembles 'Romeo and Juliet'.

From the boy and girl's first meeting (Talk to You), the boy confesses that he will 'give up his soul for her' (Juliette). But the couple suddenly has a fight with each other (Hit Me Baby). The girl leaves and the boy becomes depressed because of his newfound loneliness (Senorita). The boy tries his hardest to beg the girl not to leave (Please, Don't Go), but their story ends as tragically as Romeo & Juliet's (Romeo + Juliette).

After Jonghyun watched Olivia Hussey's 'Romeo & Juliet', he wrote the lyrics to the title song, "Juliette". He says, "I wanted a love story that was recognizable to everyone, and at the time, I had just finished watching 'Romeo & Juliet'. So in my lyrics, I tried to incorporate the beautiful language that was in the movie."

Ever since debut, SHINee has captured the hearts of noonas everywhere. Onew says, "On Rose Day, we went around to many places to give out roses in order to promote our new album. At the time, I was really happy that so many women screamed for us in the streets."

In just a year, SHINee has had many hit songs and won numerous awards. By dressing in really colorful clothing and singing different genres of songs, SHINee's image is deeply embedded in the audience's minds.

On their first year anniversary, Onew said, "We are not newcomers anymore. Now is the time for SHINee to create their own image and place in the industry. After debut, we have experienced many new things. Even though our voices, dances, and fashion sense has improved, we are still not satisfied."

The members currently live in an apartment with 4 bedrooms. But everyone still sleeps together in one room with bunk beds. They originally decided to sleep in the same room in order to build up their team unity, but now the members say that if they do not sleep together in the same room, then it feels really strange.

Key also insisted, "Although our personalities and habits are different, everyone is able to learn a lot from everyone else. Instead of saying that we are good friends, we should be a called a family instead. We are a family."

I'm so proud of them because "It's You" is a really beautiful song! In my opinion. I know some people don't think so (ie my friend's brother and I don't actually know him HAHA) but to me, the lyrics are really touching. Okay, maybe only because it applies to my life right now. HAHA.

THIS IS PRETTY COOL!!

Some background information that I myself has just found out too :)

DJ Shine used to belong to a legendary hip-hop group called Drunken Tiger. There were 2 members, DJ Shine being one of them and the other being Tiger JK. They are said to be the creators of hip-hop in Korea, having paved the way for other groups such as Epik High and Dynamic Duo.

Drunken Tiger split up in 2005, but DJ Shine announced that he'd be doing solo activities and is now back with a comeback! A cover of Flo Rida's Right Round, featuring Gavy NJ's Shi Hyun.


I thought DJ Shine's voice texture was starkly different from Flo Rida's in the sense that his was much much raspier. :) But it was a nice texture, although it sounded less clear in comparison during the chorus?

But the raps were done well! By both artists. Anyway, which version do you like more??


I like Flo Rida's cover better, maybe because I'm sort of used to it already. But I think DJ Shine's version is cool! Shows that Music has no boundaries. :)

HE IS SO CUTE COMING OUT OF THE CAR TO SURPRISE MIN SUN (Yeah that's the girl's name and I only knew cos I read comments heehee) WITH A BOUQUET OF FLOWERS *_* Wow. Hahaha, and her friends are all there omg. Bragging rights, much? :D

And they get in the car and wowowowowowow small space with a cute guy I'd die for that man haha! Nichkhun conjures (okay not really haha!) up two phones, couple phones and they start fidgeting with it for a while. I have no idea what they're saying but I think she asks about a function or something (Maybe it's, "Is your number in the phone?" :D) hahahaha

Then they go for dinner and Nickhun seems to keep plopping himself onto seats and stuff. Hahahaha, like he just sinks into it. :D I think there are fangirls? Cos they go "Nichkhun-nieeeeee" and he looks embarrassed. Hahaha, then he takes out 2PM's album out from his bag and gives it to Min Sun.

And then, he takes out more, like 3 more, and says it's for Min Sun's friends. HAHA. OMG. SO SWEET. HAHAHAHAHA.

LOL. Min Sun says, "Thanks" and Nichkhun goes, "No". HAHAHA. I mean, that's translated literally, so Min Sun asks him why he said no when she thanked him lol??!!

Oh, I just read the Korean characters on screen properly, and her name isn't really Min Sun. It's actually Min Son. Haha


NICKHUN IS YOUR BAG LIKE MAGIC?? WHY DO YOU KEEP TAKING STUFF OUT OF IT!


P/S: Okay last rant - LOL they are so cute because I think they don't know whether to talk informally or formally yet so they add in the "yo" a beat after they finish what they want to say. In Korean, the "yo" changes a sentence from an informal one to a formal/polite one. :)

P/P/S: I'm at Part 2 now :D :D and they exchange a lot of Korean text messages that I can't read -_- hahaha only a bit but...simple ones only. Anyway, they meet to go ice skating and Nichkhun is like all wrapped up so that people don't recognize him!!!! Lol. Imagine having a boyfriend like that. I actually think it'll be quite cool except that there's all the pressure and anti-fans blablabla BUT HAHA I STILL THINK IT'S QUITE COOL TEEHEEHEE :D

This was a really funny interview!

I like watching 2PM because they speak English - so I don't have to rely on subs haha!

The look on Taec's face was really funny when he was talking about how Chansung underwent the biggest change cos of his hair cut and weight loss. And he went, "He looks sexier now." + EYEBROW MOVE HAHAHAHA

Anyway I think the funniest part is towards the end, where the film the closing speech thing and Jay totally fails at being Leader!! AND HE IS SO FUNNY. HAHAHAHAH. SHINee's Onew needs his two front teef! Apparently, he fell and received an injury... to his mouf.

SM Entertainment revealed on the 20th, "On the 19th after practice, Onew fell on the stairs in front of his dorm and was injured." The doctor said, "Upon his fall, his incisors were dislocated. Onew will have to receive treatment and be placed under observation for about 1-2 weeks." Unfortunately for everyone, their comeback will have to be delayed until Onew's teeth grow back. Well, re-inserted. SHINee was planning to make their comeback on the 22nd via KBS2TV Music Bank. Their mini-album scheduled for release on 21st May, will be delayed till 27th May.

Super Junior won their first #1 for "It's You" on Music Bank today!! :D And it's only their 2nd performance, and 1st one for Music Bank omgomgomg I'm so proud of them.

I'm so proud of them because "It's You" is a really beautiful song! In my opinion. I know some people don't think so (ie my friend's brother and I don't actually know him HAHA) but to me, the lyrics are really touching. Okay, maybe only because it applies to my life right now. HAHA.


I AM NEVER GOING TO GET ANY OF MY WORK DONE TONIGHT, AT THIS RATE. :S

But whatever, because there is an obvious reason to celebrate!!!!!! :D

THIS IS PRETTY COOL!!

Some background information that I myself has just found out too :)

DJ Shine used to belong to a legendary hip-hop group called Drunken Tiger. There were 2 members, DJ Shine being one of them and the other being Tiger JK. They are said to be the creators of hip-hop in Korea, having paved the way for other groups such as Epik High and Dynamic Duo.

Drunken Tiger split up in 2005, but DJ Shine announced that he'd be doing solo activities and is now back with a comeback! A cover of Flo Rida's Right Round, featuring Gavy NJ's Shi Hyun.


I thought DJ Shine's voice texture was starkly different from Flo Rida's in the sense that his was much much raspier. :) But it was a nice texture, although it sounded less clear in comparison during the chorus?

But the raps were done well! By both artists. Anyway, which version do you like more??


I like Flo Rida's cover better, maybe because I'm sort of used to it already. But I think DJ Shine's version is cool! Shows that Music has no boundaries. :)

Okay I think I suck hahahaha! Anyway, I'm only at Part 1 (I'm trying to multi-task right now teeheehee) and homg Nichkhun is so cuuuuuuuuuuuuuute. If I dated him for a week my life would be totally complete. HAHAHAHA. But then I might get withdrawal symptoms and what not...

HE IS SO CUTE COMING OUT OF THE CAR TO SURPRISE MIN SUN (Yeah that's the girl's name and I only knew cos I read comments heehee) WITH A BOUQUET OF FLOWERS *_* Wow. Hahaha, and her friends are all there omg. Bragging rights, much? :D

And they get in the car and wowowowowowow small space with a cute guy I'd die for that man haha! Nichkhun conjures (okay not really haha!) up two phones, couple phones and they start fidgeting with it for a while. I have no idea what they're saying but I think she asks about a function or something (Maybe it's, "Is your number in the phone?" :D) hahahaha

Then they go for dinner and Nickhun seems to keep plopping himself onto seats and stuff. Hahahaha, like he just sinks into it. :D I think there are fangirls? Cos they go "Nichkhun-nieeeeee" and he looks embarrassed. Hahaha, then he takes out 2PM's album out from his bag and gives it to Min Sun.

And then, he takes out more, like 3 more, and says it's for Min Sun's friends. HAHA. OMG. SO SWEET. HAHAHAHAHA.

LOL. Min Sun says, "Thanks" and Nichkhun goes, "No". HAHAHA. I mean, that's translated literally, so Min Sun asks him why he said no when she thanked him lol??!!

Oh, I just read the Korean characters on screen properly, and her name isn't really Min Sun. It's actually Min Son. Haha


NICKHUN IS YOUR BAG LIKE MAGIC?? WHY DO YOU KEEP TAKING STUFF OUT OF IT!


P/S: Okay last rant - LOL they are so cute because I think they don't know whether to talk informally or formally yet so they add in the "yo" a beat after they finish what they want to say. In Korean, the "yo" changes a sentence from an informal one to a formal/polite one. :)

P/P/S: I'm at Part 2 now :D :D and they exchange a lot of Korean text messages that I can't read -_- hahaha only a bit but...simple ones only. Anyway, they meet to go ice skating and Nichkhun is like all wrapped up so that people don't recognize him!!!! Lol. Imagine having a boyfriend like that. I actually think it'll be quite cool except that there's all the pressure and anti-fans blablabla BUT HAHA I STILL THINK IT'S QUITE COOL TEEHEEHEE :D

This was a really funny interview!

I like watching 2PM because they speak English - so I don't have to rely on subs haha!

The look on Taec's face was really funny when he was talking about how Chansung underwent the biggest change cos of his hair cut and weight loss. And he went, "He looks sexier now." + EYEBROW MOVE HAHAHAHA

Junho, "Natural." LOL that's how he behaves with girls - NATURAL lol lol


Anyway I think the funniest part is towards the end, where the film the closing speech thing and Jay totally fails at being Leader!! AND HE IS SO FUNNY. HAHAHAHAH. He didn't get what he's supposed to do at first, so he does it wrongly and Taec goes, "No, you're supposed to..." and there's this look of enlightenment on his face, and he says, "OK~!" And does the Lee Hyori U-Go-Girl hand movement. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

SHINee's Onew needs his two front teef! Apparently, he fell and received an injury... to his mouf.

SM Entertainment revealed on the 20th, "On the 19th after practice, Onew fell on the stairs in front of his dorm and was injured." The doctor said, "Upon his fall, his incisors were dislocated. Onew will have to receive treatment and be placed under observation for about 1-2 weeks." Unfortunately for everyone, their comeback will have to be delayed until Onew's teeth grow back. Well, re-inserted. SHINee was planning to make their comeback on the 22nd via KBS2TV Music Bank. Their mini-album scheduled for release on 21st May, will be delayed till 27th May.

It seems kinda weird especially with their proposed comeback supposedly 2 days away. But now it's been pushed back. I don't know whether to be happy or not. Hahahaha, I was quite looking forward to their comeback because it gave me some kind of reward to slog through tests in school. :D

Never mind, I have huge assignments to do anyway! This will just make things... better for me and for them (more rest) :)
